4.13_Border Mask Samples

Wow. It's almost the end of the month and I forgot I had to post these. These are samples for a set of border masks I made for PSP-works.deviantart.com.  There are a couple without borders too so you can see what the paper would look like by itself.

These textures are free for non-commercial use.

Art Update

I haven't uploaded much art in the past couple of months.  I've been experimenting a lot with Photoshop and Paint Shop Pro.  My experiments usually end up being saved as textures because I figure they might be useful but I don't know what I might use them in yet.

Anyway, I decided it was time to make an art update.

This is free to use as a website header or other illustration.
Please do not edit or redistribute.

This artwork is a usage sample for some of my resources on the blog.
It's not stock.  You may not edit it or use it in your graphic projects.

Gradient Samples Post 4: Masking textures

These are masking textures I made the purple gradients

 I didn't create the masks from scratch; I overlaid different ones together with my gradient set.
The grids are from public domain images.  The other masks are things I've had from several computers ago and I no longer know the maker.  If they're yours, please let me know and I will credit you right away.   I can't find them on the net anywhere.

I wanted some usage samples for This gradient set and started messing around. This group of textures were made is a mixed bag featuring ice, glass, and quartz crystal.

They use the gradients mentioned above

 Notes: I tried not to resize these or add "extra" elements because I wanted to focus on the effects of the gradients. All coloring and lighting changes were accomplished with the gradients on different blending modes, but these were very much not simple one or two layer overlays on ice. I wish I had saved the layer files for reference, but they were huge and I lack hard drive space. Credit is appreciated but not required. If you find my resources useful, please consider making a donation.

Sample-September Texture Pack 3

I was a little bored with the similar style of the last two sample image sets, so I decided to do something totally different.  The overlays should give a clear indication of how the textures can be applied and what they'll look like.  The "magic mirror" was...well, not what I was hoping to get, but not bad either.  It was done manually with the selection tool and drop shadows.  There's just one this time because it took a long time and I forgot to save the seamless versions of the textures.  If anyone wants them, I can re-do them and upload them for you.
